Upcoming 2024 1GUN Events

Now that 1GUN is starting to have a good following and we want to bring the 1GUN community together. So starting in 2024, we will introduce:

  • A series of mini-competitions in the form of a “Stage of the Month” competitions.
    • These are intended to promote 1GUN and the local 1GUN clubs by spreading the word about this crazy new game we enjoy shooting so much.
    • The competition will be done as follows;
      • At the start of every month we will publish the “Stage of the Month”.
      • Stages will be designed for both indoor and outdoor ranges, with an average round count of 18 rounds.
      • Local clubs will:
        • Incorporate the stage into one of their monthly matches.
        • Setup the stage exactly as specified in the stage description.
        • Shooters can only run a stage once for score, i.e. if a shooter shoots the stage more than once, only the first time counts.
        • Clubs will then send us the Practiscore link to the match.
      • We will:
        • Compile everyone’s results and publish them on the 1GUN website.
        • Determine a winner in each of the divisions.
          And … when we say winner, we are going to select the winner, 1GUN style …. As you guessed it, we are going to let the random draw determine the criteria for picking the winner each month. It could be based on the final score, or points down, or raw time, or it could be based on something like the most improved from the previous month. The punch line is, just in life, you never know what makes you a winner.
    • Remember, the goal would be, for all of us to bring first-time 1GUNners out to shoot the local match. This will help our local clubs and introduce others to 1GUN itself.
    • Stages and results can be found at 1GUN Stage Of The Month Summary.

  • A series of sanctioned matches in the form of Postal Matches.
    • These are intended to provide sanctioned matches for 1GUNner to see how they stack up to other 1GUNners around the country.
    • The postal match will be done as follows;
      • Each match will consist of four stages that will be published prior to the start of the match.
      • Stages will be designed for both indoor and outdoor ranges with an average round count of 18 rounds.
      • Local clubs will
        • Setup all the stages exactly as specified in the stage description.
        • Shooters can only run the stages once for score and must use the same gun.
        • Clubs will then send us the Practiscore link to the match.
      • We will:
        • Compile everyone’s results and publish them on the 1GUN website.
        • Provide an award for the winner in each of the division.
          The winner is defined as the shooter with the best overall score per division.
    • Remember, the goal would be, for each shooter to demonstrate their abilities to the rest of the 1GUN community.
